Granola Bar Recipe

Another transformation. Maybe not for the healthiest, but it is for the taste

This is my favourite granola bar recipe that I got from this site that has been altered to make it a lot less healthy.

Therefore it is for this reason that I think it tastes better

Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 F and put oats and chopped nuts of choice on baking sheet
  2. Bake for 5 minutes, stir then bake for another 3-5 minutes. (pecans cook faster than the oats, be careful not to burn).
  3. Combine butter, honey, brown sugar, vanilla extract and salt in a small sauce pan at medium heat until butter melts and sugar is completely dissolved
  4. Pour butter mixture into a bowl with the toasted oats and nuts and mix well. Then add the chopped chocolate in and mix until chocolate melts in
  5. Line an 8 inch by9 inch square pan with aluminum foil. Then lightly oil with cooking spay (aka pam)
  6. Put granola mixture into pan and press down firmly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours then take out and cut
